I think I've figured it out.
You see.....we are both on a diet.
Last night was Mexican
Lots and lots of fresh veggie, topped by
PUTTING IN A LIME and COCONUT
{harry nillson}
Mexican with COCONUT OIL.....no I'm not crazy.
It's the new EVOO around this house.
After watching this video I was off to Whole Foods.
It made total sense to help get those cholesterol numbers back in line.
My SIL, Liz was using this over the holidays for Tyler's, Gluten-Free diet.
I know your question.....flavor?.....barely at all.
And Mr. S even is looking forward to his salmon sauteed with this.
{click on link above}
It tossed our white breast Mojo Marinated chicken nicely.
And the BLACK BEANS for fiber and we are moving in the right direction.
Now, I know.... I "ain't" no
DUM-DUM
this isn't going to happen over night.
I've always been a sucker for a little after dinner sugar.
So, these tiny bombs are perfect.
I can stick one right in my mouth and pick up my hook.
As I was looking around last night.....wow.... I need to get this edging done.
It will help me keep my mind off searching for that hidden Snickers Bar.
{which by the way are in the coat closet by the front door , Halloween leftovers}
Don't think for a second I don't know that.
A big BRAVO goes out to KNITPICKS click here
for their new
BRAVA
{acrylic yarn}
Just look at those colors.
You know who they remind me of......
if her latest creation isn't just the bomb.
So, as expected, into my shopping cart went a few skeins, with my woolie dye-able white.
I'll keep you posted with my review.
Also, arriving from SEATTLE.
Would you just look at Aiden.
He is getting so grown up.
I do need to get out that way for a visit soon.
Before, he has not a clue who, Nana Kate is.
There is a sweet bit of mischief from his mom that I'm spotting in those 2 1/2 year old eyes.
But, I'm pretty sure he knows me well.
As he sent me a box of cards for Christmas
that say
HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?
Don't they just have my name written all over them.
I mean, they are perfect for me.
OK, it's time for that bowl of oatmeal to start my day.
Other than the surprise skiff we awoke too.
Remember, to us a SKIFF is more than an inch but less than two.
Isn't it great sight to see to start our day on a good note.
A pleasant, relaxing day to you too.
And remember, it's one step {bite} at time.
Just breathe in the moment.
NOTE : Here are two links that I found this morning with important information about the direction GOOGLE is taking with BLOGGER and our FRIENDS.

Looks like we are all trying to be moved to Google + or a FEED system. All our FRIENDS will be going away too. So, it looks like we may some moving and changes to do. If you are like me, you know how I feel about changes.
ANOTHER UPDATE: LOOKS LIKE IF YOU ARE ON GOOGLE BLOGSPOT YOUR FOLLOWER LIST MAY BE SAFE FOR NOW.

14 Fun Thoughts from Friends:
This is a test to see if I can leave a comment. Lots of changes down the pike on March 1. I'm testing a few things to see how it's all going to work now.
Good luck with eating the good food instead of the Snicker bar! Why do the things that taste the best are the worst for us? That is a cute little boy. He has a 'little devil' look with those eyes and smile.
Now I'm confused, does that mean we can no longer have our friends on our sidebar with the new blogger? I would not be happy about that!! Thanks for the info, and good for you with the healthy eating!!!
Julie
Aiden is so cute! What a great picture of him. ALL of your pictures are FAB as always. Wish I had some of your chicken fajitas about right now. I'm hungry! Took a nap instead of lunch. Time to dig up some grub.
Keep up the good work Kate on the diet! In reference to google. I wound up changing my domain back to blogspot. I was so nervous and I saw things were not connecting correctly. I am going to check out the links you left us here. Thanks Kate.
Eating healthy is always a struggle. Stay strong , it sounds like you're doing great.
I read the articles but I don't see anything about Friends going away. They are going away for non-Blogger blogs, i.e. WordPress and Typepad but as far as I know they are staying on Blogger Blogs for the time being.
Thinking more and more about WordPress.
xo
Claudia
Hey...I just bought a jar of that coconut oil from Trader Joes...can't wait to use it now.
Aiden is a sweetheart!
Have fun my friend! xoxo
Not sure what I will to in the future...will see how things go. xxoxo Hugs
I absolutely LOVE coconut oil!! It does amazing things to chicken and fish! (beef and Veg too) I use many oils for different things..but mostly Olive oil (Extra Virgin of course), coconut, grapeseed oil, and peanut oils the most..I even use palm oil on occasion, and regular olive oil for frying Yes it's safe..we don't fry at the temps they do in restaurants).
The changes..it is human nature to not like change, but ALL nature changes..you change and move forward of are left behind (in nature, and also in life) thats the cycle of life..I think from what I have read they claim it is safe and we will be fine..(I like google so....) we will see..gonna save pics now in case they lose anything! But they say they won't..
Oh by the way..I Just Love your MixPod music!
Hi Kate.. now you know I'm going to want some of that coconut oil. I love anything coconut! Does it smell like coconut? As for the changes with Blogger - it just doesn't pay to worry about it. We're sure to be fine and we'll roll with the punches.. together. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Kate, since you are no longer in need of those Snickers bars you can send them to me because right now if I lost my friend's list I would need some real comfort food. I do not know why someone has to sit in an office and stir things up to make changes that is always considered "new & improved". Just like Cool Whip, now what was wrong with it that they had to come along later to new and improve it? Why absolutely nothing, that's what, and now this Google thing and blogger. I am getting too old for change.....oh man, I'm turning into my mother! LOL
Susanne :(
Mmmmmm coconut oil - don't know if we have it here but I'll look when I go to the supermarket next time. Anything to ward off Alzheimers.
that little Aiden is certainly cute. They grow up so fast!
Cheers
PS. Are you and Scott thinner ?
How did I miss this post? We like Coconut oil. Dr. OZ says to put it on your toast!
Good luck Katie girl...I fee. your pain!!!
