Often Wonder

I've often wondered.....
Just where they go when it snows?
I hope they have a warm nest to shelter them from the first winter snow.
It's hard to believe it took till January 13th for us to have ours.

I've often wondered.....
Wouldn't it be great to start your day and see something so simple, so very wonderful.
Take a moment and take it all in.

ISN'T SHE LOVELY
{stevie wonder}
dancing in the snow.

I've often wondered.....
If they travel from state-to-state?
Wait a sec.....that's a good idea.
Now, I've gone and done it.
I better shake a stick and get a move on.
Off to the northern one tomorrow for the day we go.

I need to get my chunky tail a moving.
Instead of just sitting here wondering.  But, hey...

I've often wondered....
Do the Europeans say to themselves like us
I wonder how Scotland is doing with this weather?
Or how's about... let's head up to Beligum for the weekend?
Nova Scotia, you had better watch out, our winds will be a blowing soon....
Or New Zealand you better head for cover it's heading your way...

I've often wondered.....
If just a smidgen of color could brighten my day.
A Polka Dot or two will keep the squirrels from stealing my feeder away.
That answer is a simple one....

I've often wondered.....
Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could just get up and fly away.

I've often wondered...
Just why I sit here and wonder.
But, isn't it fun to take a moment and just
WONDER.

Love your pictures of the snow and the birds. The morning dove is all puffed up, but still looks cold. :-) You have a knack for capturing pretty shots. Have a great weekend.

Beautiful photo's.. Gorgeous little creatures aren't they. Once found a butterfly at the top of a mountain (when i was much younger and could walk well), It was frozen but when I picked it up and held it in my hand it gradually warmed up and flew away.. One of those 'magic' moments that have left me 'wondering'.. :)

Gotta love the birds. They have to endure some rough weather, but I guess God takes care of his little creatures and it is good we try to help. Love your pics. They would make wonderful Christmas cards for this year.

Well yes, I had been wondering if you had had any snow yet. It's so late coming isn't it? Does that mean it has not been very cold ?
We've had a late start to Summer here too and I'm not complaining about that!
Sounds like you are off somewhere for the week end. Look forward to hearing about it.
cheers

Ugh...squirrels and bird feeders! The bane of my existence! I invested a hefty sum in a feeder that was touted as "squirrel proof" and looked very similar to one I already have that IS indeed squirrel proof...it wasn't TWO WEEKS before they (the rascally critters) had broken my feeder to bits and eaten away at the plastic tube down the center that holds the seeds. So annoying! But on a brighter note...I love watching my feeders in winter...they are so active! I try to get out there and fill them to the tippy top before storms because I know the birds will crowd around. You know what I wonder? How do those sweet little things stay hydrated in the terribly cold weather when everything is frozen solid? My daughter and I have decided that they must know the addresses of the rich people that have the heated bird baths!!!! Hugs to you, Kate. Annette

Kate, I wonder that all the time and wish I could fly away and be back by dinner. I'd fly to see my sister in New York, but come back to warm Florida. It is nice that you are taking the time to sit and ponder a bit.
Happy Sunday,
Meredith
