Snow Day

Well, Well, Well

It's finally here.

A Snowy WINTER day in the Windy City.
{taken with cell phone}

And please explain why I picked today to have a doc appointment across town.

Lovely, isn't it.  Normally about 25 minutes.
Today's trip home.....

2 hours and 6 minutes.

How's about a little SNOW PATROL
and I'm CHASING CARS....

I have never been happier to see my driveway.

Now, let's see if I can make it safely into the garage.

And my friends to the EAST, it's on it's way, good luck.

Tomorrow's project.....

Digging Out.

And NEWS FLASH.

Has anyone else besides me seen the news from PICNIK today.
They are closing.
Moving us all to GOOGLE +

Well, isn't that just the icing on the cake for me this Friday.
I loved PICNIK for my photo editing.

So, besides shoveling tomorrow.  I will be figuring this all out.
Please let me know if you have found another alternative, as I will for you.

But, the GOOD NEWS today is.....no skin cancer.
I do officially have ROSECEA on my cheeks.
And he removed a few "tags", but other than that.
Pretty good news, considering I was a Speedo wearing, baby oiled kid at the pool for most of my childhood.

YIKES Kate...that is crazy white stuff you got there. I heard about picnik, but don't panic...I have a feeling we can still edit our pics there, it is just a new name. I HOPE! Stay warm my friend.

Oh mercy..that looks like quite a storm! Glad you made it home safely. How pretty your house is!!! And hooray for the good report at the doctors!
I have many skin issues! I have eczema pretty bad, and also vitiligo. But I also have some other yucky stuff too. My Dad's skin. Luckily, no skin cancers though. Stay nice and safe and tucked in til the storm passes!

Hi Kate.. your snow is gorgeous.. but I'm glad you got home safe in it. You should have canceled the appt! I also have skin issues.. psoriasis.. it's a p.i.t.a.

I use my iPhoto for working on photos and also have the full-fledged PhotoShop. You should get that!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I'm still reeling from the news about Picnik. I looked for alternatives last night and didn't like any of them. I LOVE PICNIK.

The snow is here on the east coast, as I write.

The snow is beautiful especially as I am facing a 75 degree day in Florida.

Good news on your skin, I had rosecea on my right cheek for a year, I tried lots of things from the health food store. I can't remember what worked, sorry.

Fun I am commenting right under my sister.

Be careful digging out.

What a long commute to the doctor's appointment! We went to Cleveland yesterday and nothing happening going or returning. Brother-in-law went with hubby to Cleveland this morning after we had our few inches of snow. They got there fine and called and are on their way home. Tomorrow we go there again and on Monday we stay 4 days. It has been one of those weeks when you just don't know if you are coming or going. I am so glad you got a good report from your doctor. What a relief huh? Have no clue about PICNIK, as you can see from my photos I never do anything fancy and envy those of you who could. I am clueless when it comes to that stuff, so any help is appreciated. Having that baby shower this afternoon. It has been 2 months in the works and I will sigh a big one when it is over. I'm whipped!! Have a good one.(((HUGS))) Susanne :)

Hi Kate! Oh my gosh, I KNOW that feeling with winter driving! Hate it, and avoid it at all costs! It's snowing here today, but we're only supposed to get up to 4". I'm sure that'll melt in no time, especially when they forecast Monday to possibly reach 50s! You just never know what we're going to get in the "Great Northeast"!... Anyways, glad to hear about your good health. I admit I don't know very much about rosecea, but I DO know it's a very good thing to be cancer-free. Take care of you, and have a great weekend! ~tina

How beautiful is all that snow?! I may put that picture of your house on my desktop. Does that make me a creepy STALKER? hee-hee. That might be a little weird, but only if you saw it. And I'm sure the snow is only pretty if you don't have to drive in it or shovel it, right? Well, I don't so I can love it all I want!

Stay warm! More snow pictures please?

While I enviously admire all your lovely snowy photos and I so wish I could be there, I really, really don't want to deal with the reality of getting around like you have to

Kate, in place of Picnik, give a look-see to FotoFlexer. The folks who are far more versed than I on this subject say it's "very similar to Picnik in look and feel."

Another one worth a look is iPiccy. I presume that's pronounced i - pixie?

I see there are a number of petitions to NOT shut down Picnik, directed to the CEO, circulating on the Internet. If anyone is interested, just google "Picnik petitions" and pick your choice!

Ouch! That was a commute. I have a friend with severe rosacea on her face. Sometimes it will clear up a bit but sometimes it is so bad. Did they give you any tips on how to take care of it? Hope you are having a warm and cozy day at home today. Best wishes, Tammy
